Detroit CEO Magazine is looking for enthusiastic undergrads with a passion for journalism to work with our editors during the winter, spring, summer and fall 2017 academic semesters. Our ideal candidates are confident and creative with great written and verbal communications skills! If this sounds like you, you can apply by emailing your resume and cover letters to firstname.lastname@example.org. (No phone calls, please)
In your cover letter, please specify which department you’re most interested in (entrepreneurship, community, fashion, beauty, culture, photography, food, healthy living, social media, entertainment), the semester that you are available and why you’d make an excellent intern.
How long do the programs run and when are the application deadlines for each?
Winter 2017 (early January through end of January)
Spring 2017 (early February through end of May)
Summer 2017 (early May through end of August)
Fall 2017 (early August through end of November)
Do I need to have had a previous magazine internship to be considered?
While we would generally like to see involvements with websites, blogs or student publications on the resumes of our applicants, we believe in raw talent that may not necessarily have previous experience.
Are there any availability requirements?
Yes. We require that Detroit CEO Magazine interns work two full work days, remotely, during the spring and fall semesters, and four days a week during summer and winter semesters (while students are on break.)
